This article examines the reform thought system in Islamic political philosophy, with an emphasis on its theoretical elucidation and practical application. Reform, as one of the central concepts in Islamic political philosophy, is more comprehensive compared to Western approaches and encompasses individual, social, cultural, economic, and political dimensions. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method and drawing on Islamic sources and the views of Muslim philosophers, seeks to present a coherent model of reform that addresses theoretical needs while also being applicable in Islamic societies. In Islamic philosophy, reform refers to changing the current situation—either gradually or immediately—to achieve an ideal state. This concept is rooted in Qur’anic and narrative teachings. The principles of reform in Islamic political philosophy include adherence to religion, rationality, justice-orientation, and comprehensiveness. Practical methods for implementing reform, such as strengthening religious teachings, education, supervision, critique, and struggle, have been examined. Islamic philosophers, by integrating theory and practice, provide a dynamic model that addresses both human spiritual needs and socio-political efficiency.
